One of the indie hits of 2016, Hunt for the Wilderpeople is a New Zealand film which has been gathering superb reviews and fantastic word of mouth. It tells the story of a young ‘juvenile delinquent’ who goes on a bizarre and thrilling outback adventure with his grouchy foster uncle.

It may be the most unusual buddy movie you’ll see all year, and Julian Dennison absolutely steals the show as the 13 year old Ricky – ably supported by the wonderful Sam Neill. Directed by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows), Empire magazine gave Hunt for the Wilderpeople a rare five star review, while the Guardian described it as: “a big-hearted picture full of small, understated moments of magic…an off-kilter charmer.”
